A Guide to Astrophotography: Presenting the Latest Images from the Van Allen Observatory

John Momberg; University of Iowa

Have you ever wondered how telescopes like Hubble capture those breathtaking images of space? In this talk, I’ll walk you through how we use our very own Van Allen Observatory (VAO) for astrophotography! I’ll cover the basics of how telescopes work, explain how we use the VAO to take astronomical images, and present the latest images taken with our new color camera. Join us to learn about astrophotography and to see the latest images from the VAO!

Anyone wishing to join the seminar virtually can do so via Zoom - https://uiowa.zoom.us/j/93816357338
