Evidence for Higgs boson decay to a pair of muons Dylan Blend; University of Iowa A search for the Higgs boson decay to a pair of muons is presented with an emphasis on the production channel: Vector Boson Fusion (VBF). The analysis is performed using proton-proton collision data at sqrt(13.6 TeV), corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb^-1. With an additional component on the Phase II Outer Tracker upgrades for the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) Project.
